Connect your mailbox

Connect a Google sending account, assign it to an agent, and keep it healthy.

You'll haveA sending mailbox connected and assigned to an agent, so it can send, not just draft.
Time5 minutes

An agent can draft pitches without a mailbox, but it cannot send until one is connected and assigned. Connecting takes a click.

Where mailboxes live#

Connect and manage mailboxes on Settings > Sending, under Connected sending accounts. You can also connect one inside the Hire an agent modal while you set up an agent.

Note: the Integrations tab's description still says "connected mailboxes for sending". That label is stale. Mailboxes are on Settings > Sending; the Integrations page is for Webflow and API keys. See publish with Webflow.

Connect a Google account#

  1. Go to Settings > Sending.
  2. Under Connected sending accounts, choose Connect account and sign in with Google.
  3. Grant access when Google asks. The account then shows in the list with its own send counts.

Note: today GenLink connects Google mailboxes only. The pricing page mentions "Google or Outlook in one click", but there is no Outlook path in the app yet. Use a Google account for now.

Check it worked#

The account appears under Connected sending accounts with a per-account send count. Once it is assigned to an agent, that agent's row shows a live sent_today/cap counter, so you can see it is ready and how much headroom is left today.

Assign the mailbox to an agent#

Each agent sends from exactly one mailbox. To send more, hire another agent, do not try to stack mailboxes on one.

  • In Hire an agent, pick the mailbox under Sending mailbox.
  • For an existing agent, assign it under Settings > Sending in the Your agents list, or in the agent's own Sending settings ("Send from").

If no mailbox is assigned, the agent can still draft, but you will see "this agent can draft but can't send until you assign one in Settings > Sending".

The send counter#

Every agent has a Daily send cap (default 20). The mailbox's own cap applies on top of that, so the real limit for a send is whichever is lower. The sent_today/cap figure on each agent row is the fastest way to see where an agent stands for the day. Sends are spaced at least 30 minutes apart. See workday and limits.

Disconnecting and expiry#

  • Disconnect an account from Connected sending accounts when you no longer want to send from it. Any agent assigned to it will need a new mailbox before it can send again.
  • If the connection expires (for example you change the Google password or revoke access), sending from that mailbox stops until you reconnect. Reconnect the same way you first connected, on Settings > Sending.

Once a healthy mailbox is assigned, move on to domains and mailboxes to decide which domain your outreach should come from.
